and for once it might be grand...

I tried to get a shot of my hair looking all cool and whatnot...
But it just ended up looking like this, haha!
outfit details:
off-shoulder top - Chaps (It's actually meant to be a boatneck tee,
but I bought it in size XL for the off-the-shoulder effect)
denim cutoffs - American Eagle
combat boots - Kohl's
orange bag - a little boutique shop in Richmond
plethora of bug bites - c/o the many buzzing and flying monsters in my front yard

"And for once it might be grand to have someone understand, that summer is not fun when your legs are an all-you-can-eat buffet for bugs!"

So that might not be how the lyrics go (Beauty and the Beast, in case you were wondering.  Go watch it.  Reclaim your childhood.  Go, now!), but I wondered, as I was taking outfit photos and discovering new bugbites every time I took a photo, Are my legs singing "Be Our Guest," or are these bugs just really hungry and reeeeeeeeally sadistic?  Probably both.  This is yet another reason why I can't wait til fall: all the evil bugs will DIE!  YAY!

I feel like a bad vegetarian-recycling-hippy-type person for saying that, but I am simply not a fan of bugs.  Especially ones that bite and buzz.  Eurgh...

Today was a chores day!  I vacuumed the house, organized my room (ish, haha), took out all the trash, skimmed the pool, and then went online and looked at boots for two hours.  Huh, what?  After all the housework was finished, my father took my brother and I to the movie theatre where we met my uncle, grandma, and little cousin (Zack, mentioned previously here) and bought tickets, Skittles, and made it into the theatre in record time!  Or eight minutes.  We saw Super 8, which was actually better than I expected (even though it got good reviews, I didn't expect it to be that great).  But I think Elle Fanning is a good actress, so what the heck, right?  I mean, I did get candy out of it, haha.  What I enjoyed more than the alien-caused mayhem and bombs exploding everywhere was the way the kids interacted with one another.  That was really well done, I thought, plus I just loved the kid who was always blowing things up.  Pyromaniacs, unite!

Also, I'm totally jealous that they could ride their bikes everywhere.  What's the point of living in a small town if you can't walk/bike anywhere!  Siiiiiiiiiiiiigh....
